Our participation in the authentic 35 marathon Athens was an exciting experience!

The running team of the club of Gefira Zois A. Western sector had the pleasure of participating for the 4th time in the authentic marathon of Athens and specifically in the track of the Special Olympics, along with other clubs and associations. The journey from the garrison of the House to the Kallimarmaron Panathenaic Stadium, however small it seemed, was huge if one considers the desire of all of us to participate. Our numerous team with children and volunteers of our multispace consisting of: Papadopoulou Evita, Paschalis Nektaria, Paschalis Haroula, Mantzavinou Panagiota, Melidwniatis Dimitris, Mantzavinou Antonia, Goyranios Nikos, Kamatira Maria, Kamatira Marianthi, Paraskevopoulou Maria, Tsakonas Alexandros, Mpakosis Apostolis, Nikolopoulou Dimitra, Panagiotopoulos Vasilis, Nika Eleni, Karalis Varvara, Kaptani Evgenia, Melidwniati Maria Vasiliki Kefala, Vagia Pananaki. … With our smallest volunteers to be 9 years old (!) and the biggest to represent the board Of the club, was prepared to experience an exciting experience. When the launch motto was given, our block broke in two. The most enthusiastic started running along Herod Atticus and the most modest, who just wanted to live this beautiful Sunday morning, were going at a more relaxed pace. However, at the end of the journey, what count was the joy of participation and the awe that one felt when entering the Kallimarmaro. And more importantly, seeing children like Maria and Nicola have a big smile on their lips and feel tireless! We ended and of course we got a medal!!!!! With the Bridge of life!!! In the next marathon, our strengths will be even more and our participation even stronger! Appointment 2018
